37th Annual Meeting of the ÖGHMP

Fantastic success of our ICC Water & Health at the 37th Annual Meeting of the ÖGHMP!

After two cancellations due to CoVID-19 and a delay of two years, the 37th annual conference of the ÖGHMP (Austrian Society for Hygiene, Microbiology and Preventive Medicine) finally took place. Especially for most of our young researchers it was the first opportunity to present and discuss their results in lectures and posters with a broad scientific audience.

And the long wait was worth it: our team was rewarded with a veritable shower of prizes for the great work of the last few years. No less than 5 scientific prizes (Österr. Hygienepreis 2021 and 2022, Krankenhaus- und Betriebshygienepreis 2020 and 2022 and the Österr. Mikrobiologiepreis 2020), the ÖGHMP Hygiene Grant 2020, 2 ÖGHMP poster awards 2022 and 4 ÖGHMP Tagungsstipendien 2022 were won by our young researchers. The Österr. Hygienepreis 2021 and 2022 were sponsored by the IWA Health Related Water Microbiology Specialist Group. In addition to the awards, a total of 7 presentations and 9 posters impressively demonstrated our strong presence in the field of water and health.
