Shanghai Ranking: Top Results for TU Wien

TU Wien receives top ratings for the subject area of water resources in the ShanghaiRanking Consultancy.

In the recently published Shanghai "Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020" the TU Wien is represented with 18 subjects. The Department of Water Resources (ranked 51-75) of the TU Wien is among the world's top 100 and therefore among the top performers in Austria. In the ranking group 201-300 the TU Wien is represented by the subjects Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Technology and Biomedical Engineering.

>> Environmental Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics(Prof. Andreas Farnleitner)

>> Hydrology (Prof. Alfred Paul Blaschke)

 

Research in Focus

 

The internationally respected Shanghai ranking "Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020" compares over 4.000 universities worldwide in 54 academic subjects. The main focus of the evaluation is on achievements in the field of research. The ranking is based on publicly available data such as the number of scientific publications in recognized journals, citations of these publications, and the number of scientists and alumni with top-class awards.
